I may be booking a week at Marriott through II. Do they charge an exchange fee on the resort end when you get there? If so, how much is it? Thanks!

No. You only pay II for the exchange. Some resorts do charge miscellaneous fees for parking and even sometimes an additional room tax of a few dollars a day.

thinze - really? Marriott when exchanging into one of their timeshares charges extra fees on the unit itself? I know parking fees were possible and additional housekeeping, but I didn't know about other fees.

I took the response to be, for example, the additional tax you pay per night in Hawaii. I believe this comes in to play in you are not an owner at the specific resort.

Other examples????

Aruba has a daily room tax fee at the Surf and Ocean Club regardless of ownership.

Grand Cayman has a $10 or $12/night/unit tax for everyone as well. Owners or not. It's a small price to pay, in my opinion, of many small prices and larger ones that I will gladly pay every time I visit my home resort there.
