One of the timeshares I own has a very confusing listing on Interval. Interval lists several variations of 2 bedroom or 1 bedroom possibilities to deposit but no studio units to deposit. I took my best shot, selected one of the options and made my depost…….only to later figure out there was a studio option, but I would have to go through the process on each possibility to have seen it (I’ll remember next time).

At any rate, the reservation number and arrival date are correct but the size of the unit is not. The master suite has a different reservation number and different arrival date by one week. I feel like I should be fine but wanted to call, just to be sure. Lo and behold I can’t find a customer service number on Interval’s website. Only an email address or the chat function.

II has no chat function. Don't use that. It is a scam Google ad.

They do have contact information. In the bottom right click on "Customer Support". Then select "Our offices".

Wow. You’d think Interval would be more sensitive to scam type adds on their web site since they’re a timeshare exchange company, and timeshares are thought of as a big scam as it is.

It was pointed out to them months ago. They don't seem to care. They could easily block it. The fact that they even have Google ads on their website is embarrassing.

Don't assume it will be fine if it is wrong, assume it will be a problem.

On the II website at the vey bottom of any page, below the misleading advert, you'll see in tiny writing Customer service, select that and then Our offices and find your location from there. The customer service email works reasonably well, and don't forget if you get stuck TUG have a dedicated email for member enquiries that is an excellent.

If you ae US based, this might be what you need:

Interval I don’t trust. However this particular resort I do trust. It’s not a huge chain where things easily get screwed up and then are difficult to fix.

Having said that, I still plan on calling the resort first to flag the file and put a note in that it is the studio portion that is to be deposited, then I’ll call II to tell them I was confused by their listings of the units since none of the options intially listed on their website indicates which option is the studio and which is the master suite.
Next year I’ll make my deposit directly from the resort web page. I hadn’t done so this year because I hadn’t renewed our II membership past 2025. The arrival date of the deposit was past the expiration date of the II membership and I was entirely certain we would extend, and if we did for how many years.

Now that I know the studio, which has a bedroom door and trades as a 1 bedroom, has good trade value, we’re more likely to keep, our II membership and use this portion of this particular unit for exchanges. It’s the only unit we intend to exchange, and when it get to expensive or stops having decent trade value, we’ll stop trading it. Right now the cost of the membership, plus the cost of the exchange fee is far enough below the cost of the MF’s of a full 1 bedroom unit it makes sense to exchange. Most of the units we own I can’t say the same holds true. What helps this particular studio unit is that it trades as a 1 bedroom and easily sees other 1 bedroom units within the II exchange system. If it ever stops seeing good 1 bedroom exchanges, we’ll quit depositing it and paying II fees. We don’t need the extra timeshare vacation time and we don’t enjoy staying in studio unit's

Because of the design of the unit I’d consider using it for personal usage or even renting it out rather than exchange for any other studio unit. The only reason we own it is we wanted the master unit, I after 3 or 4 years I couldn’t get the developer to sell us just the master suite. I finally got the price down to something we felt we could afford and decided just to eat the studio unit of all else failed.

Honestly, I felt we wouldn’t have an issue getting family or friends to go with us is we offered it without asking for any money in return. It’s weird to me how so many people are resistant to taking time off from work for vacation. Everyone has tons of excuses to NOT take a week off and travel. They either have to much on their plate at work or want to take time off from work to work around the house. Then there’s the issue of the resort being in Breckenridge and up on the ski slopes. There’s a lot of people who can’t handle that elevation.

I have to say, I've found this too - I guess some people don't have paid time off, but what does especially annoy me when some of them like to complain about not getting to go on trips but also if invited never get back to you and then decide they don't really want to make the effort to go.

At the last Corporation I worked before retirement you could accumulate up to 280 Hours of Vacation. But anything over 280 would disappear at midnight December 31. There were lots of people that lost Vacation Hours every year. I never understood that mind set.

FWIW, the unit deposited matches the unit I intended to deposit. Whether it was the resort or Interval that caught my mistake I’ll never know, but I still have the master suite and the studio unit is listed as a deposit with Interval.
