Does II Offer "getaway" weeks?

Hello Tuggers!

I'm hoping that membership in Starwood has access to Getaway weeks in II. I'm waiting for a few memberships (HGVC Vegas, SVV Key West, and Hacienda Del Mar, Cabo) to be finalized. I believe our HGVC membership doesn't come with access to the RCI weeks (tell me I'm wrong!).

Can someone let me know if the Starwood membership has access to discounted weeks similar to RCIs "getaway" weeks?

Thank you!!

II has rentals, but all II members have access to them - no special perks for Starwood owners.

Hi and welcome!

Yes, Interval International offers getaway weeks. I asked a friend who uses RCI about their getaway weeks and believe what offers is much better. Last November we went to Marriott Summit Watch and paid a little over $300 for a 2BR. We typically go to Palm Springs for a few days in summer and the cost is typically $200-$300 depending on unit size.

If I could change anything about II's getaway program, it would be the option to book for a few days instead of the whole week. I understand that won't change, and the prices are more than reasonable, I just hate having something for a week and only being able to use a few days.

Best of luck!

That's great thanks! I didn't means perks for just Starwood members. Just meant in general.

Apparently with HGVC RCI membership we can't see the "Getaways" online but have to call.

Nice!! Thanks you both for your quick response!! I think these discounted weeks are a huge bonus!!

With Starwoods included membership, can we see the getaway weeks online or do we have to call?

One more question...how last minute are they, 1-2 months or more like true last minute (less than a weeks notice)?

Thanks again!!

With Starwood you have standard online access - no calling necessary. Rentals are posted early - not just the last 2 weeks.

SFX has discount weeks as well. The closer you get to the week offered the cheaper it becomes. Also different prices for the level you can buy into. I'm at the lowest level which has no yearly fee, all are posted online.

With Starwood you get access to getaways, with HGVC you get access to Last Call Weeks ( you can see them on line: RCI Site). I have never purchased one through RCI but it looks like you could without calling but I could be wrong, at least you can see them listed.

Oh thanks. Are last call weeks different than the getaways with RCI?
