Does anyone know how to get discount Disney tickets?

Does anyone know how to get Disney (7 day) hopper discount tickets with the water parks? How about any timeshare presentations that offer a significant discount if you attend their sales presentation? We are going in October at the Sheraton.Vistana.

Right now the cheapest tickets are at kgsticket.com (Kissimmee Guest Services) but their prices will be going up tomorrow.

If you are an AAA travel member they used to offer discounts although they weren't very large. I haven't checked recently to see if they still do that.

The discounts offered by AAA vary by region and usually can only be obtained from their office. At least that is what I was told at our AAA office.

Disney doesn't do much discounting. If you have a relative in the military, they can buy discounted tickets at their recreation office, and that's about the best deal to be had on a regular basis.

Also, there are various deals for locals. Right now, Disneyland-Anaheim has a deal for 3 days of parkhoppers for $99, but you have to use the first one by 8/31, and the rest within 45 days of that, and you have to live in Southern California to buy (but not to use) them. This deal is offered through supermarkets (at least Ralphs but I think I have seen it in another). So you might find a deal like that if you have a friend or relative in Florida.

Disney is pretty stinky about their specials to Florida residents. I believe if you can't produce a Florida ID when you go in the park, they'll make you pay the price difference.

I think it is that way with the military id as well.

The timeshare presentations only give 1 day passes for your time. You won't likely find discounted tickets. The reputable sellers out there are pretty consistent in their pricing. If you do find a ticket deeply discounted, be very careful. There are a lot of scams out there for Disney tickets.

I usually do the the TS tours for discounted tickets or "free" one day tickets. However, honestly I am glad I bought the 6 day / 6 play tickets last year and stretch them out 3 years. There are also booths where you can get them but that is not recommended.

Do they still sell those? They don't sell non-expiring tickets for the California parks anymore.

In California, a one-day park-hopper full priced ticket is $90. The price per day reduces drastically as you add more days, but the multi-day park hoppers expire in 13 days or something like that. And any ticket you buy now has a static expiration date also. There's a discount (maybe $10) for buying them and printing them online.
