***** Please ignore, RCI finally figured it out, and can't delete my post *****

Up until a few months ago, I could access RCI as a link through the Worldmark website, and had been able to for years. A few months ago, I got an error message, so I assumed the day had come where I was cut off. I used the Worldmark link, and paid for a year.

I set up a new online RCI account, and have called both RCI and Worldmark, but no one can tell me how I get my Worldmark account information showing in my RCI account. I just see trade power zero. I don't want to deposit first, and have never dealt with trade power, Worldmark and RCI before.

It is saying I must Deposit a week to see vacations. We've been trading with RCI/WM since 2006, and I have never had to deposit first.

Can anyone help?

Thank you!

There's a person on WMOwners.com forum having similar problem.
I am asking her to contact you. Do you have name / extension of person who helped you?

(or vice versa)

Thank you.
I don’t have any info on the person that helped me, and I wish I did because she was great.

I haven’t been on WMowners.com for quite a while but I can log in tonight and try to respond to any post they made. Hopefully I can at least point them in the right direction, I spent hours calling all over before I found someone that had a clue what was going on!

Hi! Can you please help me? I’m an original worldmark owner and my link has been broken to RCI for months. I am not travel share. A supervisor at worldmark told me tonight that I have to upgrade to travel share to get my link to rci back. Is that true? Thanks in advance!

I believe the Direct Link from the Worldmark Web Site to RCI now only works for Travelshare. This is a Credit use Account. Otherwise you log on to the RCI directly and it is a week's account.

Thank you for replying to me. So I always paid for my rci account by calling them with my rci number but I never logged in directly to rci - only used my link in my worldmark account. Is it possible to log in to rci without using the link? And if I log in directly to rci can I still use my worldmark points on rci? For years I’ve used the link to rci to reserve rci units by using worldmark points - is this possible? Thanks!

I have all resale credits (no TravelShare, no WM+A credits). I pay an annual fee for RCI and access my RCI weeks account through the link in my online WorldMark account. I just logged into it to confirm that it is working.

The link does get broken for a few days/week whenever there is an "update to improve your user experience."

@mmdays

Someone at WorldMark, possibly the exchange department, needs to connect your WorldMark Account to your RCI account. I agree that it is a hassle when it stops working.
Ever since they created the WorldMark portal to RCI, we cannot log in to RCI separately any more (with our WorldMark account.)

Hi and thank you so much for replying. I’ve had my account connected for about 20 years, but the link stopped working a few months ago. I’ve called and escalated several times and this past time a supervisor has called me every week saying tech was still trying to reconnect, but then last night the supervisor called again and said because I don’t have travel share I cannot trade my world mark (I’m an original worldmark owner from early 2000s) with rci. At owners updates they always make up things to try and get a new sale, so I’m trying to figure out if what this supervisor told me - that my link will never be fixed unless I upgrade is correct. Thanks!

Supervisor is also making stuff up because they don't know how to fix it and they want to get you off the phone so they don't have to deal with it.

Oh and you say you cannot log into rci separately? I also have never been able to go around worldmark and log into rci directly, so I was wondering if anyone can log in directly to rci and still use worldmark points on rci. Thank you again and I super appreciate it!

Worldmark doesn't have a special Club Login link for RCI like Club Wyndham does? Perhaps because not all WM owners have their RCI fee covered by Worldmark? Or is it?

When I log into the owner's site here is a "RCI & evchanges" in the menu on left side of the screen right under "Dues & loans". I do not have a RCI membership so it asks me if I want to join. If I click join it takes me to what looks like a special WM version of the RCI site. That is as far as I can get without a membership. I am resale so I don't get the "free" membership to RCI, but it does appear I would get some kind of discount in a membership.

Perhaps you need to delete cookies? Perhaps it is mixing things up between WM and CW?

@mmdays
When did you last renew your RCI? Do you pay annually, or did you buy the 5-year RCI membership?

Hi,
First of all, thank you for taking the time to try and help me, I appreciate it. Okay so I’ve been a worldmark owner about 20 years (bought direct but no travel share since I am an original worldmark owner who has refused to “upgrade” after they were bought out. I have always had a link on my worldmark account that links to rci. For several years I did not pay for rci but I could go and browse. One year I saw something I liked to trade for so I called rci and gave them the rci number I could see on my screen and paid for the year. Since then I’ve traded heavily, though a few years here and there I haven’t called rci to pay for a year as I wasn’t taking trips that year. Around Christmas time my link to rci from worldmark was broken. Since then I’ve called repeatedly. Most times I’m told they’ll create a ticket for tech. Recently I was allowed to speak to a supervisor. This supervisor put in a ticket and then followed up periodically with me, for over a month. But now the supervisor has said my ticket is closed. Said no travel share no link. He said I was lucky to use it for years but I should never have been allowed to use rci. is he lying? I’ve been lied to by reps at owners meetings before lol (like one who told me I had to upgrade to travel share to trade my worldmark points through rci to stay at dvc - yet I’d been doing it for years so I laughed at him and asked for my gift card for attending) Anyway, so I’m on here trying to determine if I am out of luck now. I have tried to get to my rci account not using worldmark and can’t. Can anyone? And if there is a work around - can I still use my worldmark points to trade in rci? And finally, do I have to have travel share to have a link? I understand lots of people don’t have travel share and do have a link but is it true I just got “caught” now and out of luck or should I keep calling to have tickets submitted to fix my link? Thank you!

Oh and specially to your question. I CALL rci to pay for one year at a time here and there with gaps in between - sometimes it’ll lapse for months or a few years at a time but I just pay rci for another year when I see something I want to trade.

Perhaps it would also be helpful to note - I am also a hgvc owner and my link to rci works just fine from hgvc to rci. However that is a different rci account - one that hgvc links to. So I don’t think it’s user error or cookies or anything like that.

The supervisor you spoke with was probably "inexperienced", and the person s/he spoke with in the Exchange Dept was probably "inexperienced".

I agree with @dioxide45
They are convincing themselves that you aren't supposed to be able to access RCI because most of the WM RCI Members are TravelShare members, who pay for RCI via their TravelShare dues.
There are many of us who pay for our own RCI. Ever since the Portal was established, WM Owners do not log in to RCI.com directly.

Before you escalate this, you do need to know whether your RCI membership is paid or expired. Find the email or the credit card statement when you last paid.

Okay thank you, I’ll do that.
