Hi all,

Anybody here using Doctor Timeshare at the moment? I’m at ROFR stage for 3 months and haven’t had any update since middle of March.

Hopefully you haven't been scammed out of your hard earned money.

Tell them you want your money back if they can't perform with "X" amount of days. Don't let them stretch you out any longer as times are different now; what you paid for can very likely be purchased at a lesser amount right now due to things going on in the world.

You say there hasn’t been an update since March. Are they responding to you but nothing to report or they have gone radio silent? Not making excuses but there is a lot going on in the world with many businesses closed down temporarily so maybe that could the issue.

There was a thread early this year with one person’s experience, link below. The title is a little misleading as it appears that there might have been a miscommunication. The OP never reported back how it ended up.

Not the OP in the link but did comment as I was working with Doctor Timeshare as well. I did receive a full refund in March 2020 for a purchase that was initiated in June 2019. They even covered the exchange rate loss (EUR / USD) in the refund so not a scam.

Hi all,

Many thanks for the replies. In the middle of March I signalled that I wasn't happy to continue in limbo if there was no progress by the end of March and that I would cancel the purchase (RoFR was supposed to take 3 weeks and 8 weeks later no progress/update). I got a reply from Doctor Timeshare saying that the delay was on Marriott's side and that they would revert back within days. I have had no further contact since then despite several emails and calls.

Doctor Timeshare is based out of Spain and does both resales and rentals. I fear that the business may be in trouble given the rentals activity, particularly if they have booked the commission on future rentals pre-COVID and now have to issue lots of refunds.

I found Doctor Timeshare professional very professional to begin with current experience is really bad. Will update here in due course.

Marriott has 30 days to act on ROFR so this situation does not sound good.

I would suggest you contact Marriott directly to see if they in fact acted or waived on your purchase and plan your strategy based upon that.

I hope it works out for you.

Do you have a copy of the signed Marriott External Transfer form showing the Inventory ID of the property you are purchasing? If so send to Marriott (owner.services@vacationclub.com) to verify that they have received. The form I signed with the Inventory ID's was not sent to Marriott.

I have the same experience.

We no longer are able to reach Doctor Timeshare via email, phone, chat - nothing for months. Ownerships transferred but no payments received.

What started off as a collaborative and valuable partnership, has turned into an aggravating disappointment. As of Dec 2019, Doctor-Timeshare does not answer phone calls or emails - not a single one. We have several ownership weeks we are selling, of which some with sales complete, ownership transferred, but none of which have been paid out.

There is zero follow up from Sebastien or Jonathan or their team to us on next steps. A rental which took place months ago is also not paid out. Another where HOTAs have been signed several months ago between both parties, Marriott have confirmed never even receiving ! As a result, critical elements of the sale have expired and along with it the entire opportunity to sell. Leaving this here to warn others, that something is going on here and Doctor Timeshare is not able to follow through on their selling/buying agreements or commitments.

Best of luck to those working with Doctor Timeshare. I feel very fortunate to have received a refund ($36,200) in March for a 7 week purchase that was initiated in June 2019. I agree something does not feel right about this company and was very persistent in e-mail, phone and chat communications.
