I put in an OGS request for a 2 bedroom Marriott Ko Olina. I am using my large side 1 bedroom SDO. My travel dates are between October 15 and November 30, 2023. I put in the request early last year. Do I have a chance of getting this filled or am I barking up the wrong tree? Thank you!

I think you'd have had a much better chance if you had added Nanea to that search.

@toddvb20 , I didn't see where you mentioned the particular week that you deposited. If it was a high demand week that would certainly help. If it was an average demand week, then it reduces your odds.

Last year I deposited a Marriott TDI=150 (highest demand) 1 BR unit and requested either a 1 or a 2 BR Ko Olina. I had deposited the unit in February 2022 and put in a request for May 2023. I wanted to secure my position in the queue. I was surprised that after only a month, last March, I got a match to a 1 BR unit for May 2023 (mountain view) - - fourteen months in advance. That seemed a bit unusual to get a match so quickly and so far out into the future.

Then I checked regularly to see if I could upgrade it to a 2 BR. Eventually, about 2 or 3 weeks ago Marriott did a bulk deposit and I was able to ePlus into a 2 BR ocean-view.

I think that your chances of exchanging in to a 1 BR is reasonable (assuming that you deposited a high demand week). But your chances of matching to a 2 BR are lower. If you can live with a 1 BR, perhaps change your request to both a 1 OR 2 BR. That way, if a 2 BR shows up you'll match. But if only a 1 BR shows up you'll get that one and then you can play the daily (morning) manual searching game with ePlus to see if you could upgrade it size-wise.

Vistana (manager of Sheraton) deposits a "blended" week at the Sheratons. A 1 br at Sheraton Desert Oasis can likely get a 2br at Ko Olina, especially during that shoulder season travel period.

There is no way to know for sure, all we can do is observe what deposits appear online, and read reports from other Tuggers on what they have matched.
I wouldn't expect a match before the 3 month timeframe.
Follow the bulk deposits in Sightings and as it gets closer, it would be wise to search online each morning, just in case a bulk deposit appears and you can see a Ko Olina out there. Please let us know of your success when you do match.

@toddvb20 I never pretend to know what the chances are of OGS, the 1BR A side of SDO should have enough trade power to get a low season 2BR at Ko Olina or Nanea. I have already picked up a Nanea 2BR for October in general inventory, no preference required. I think October should be easy, I would suggest putting in a Sightings Request so we can all keep an eye out for your dates (as a back up plan to your OGS).

Thanks all! Checking the deposits is part of my morning routine. Was able to score 2BR Nanea in 2021 with my 1BR A side. I'll let you know if and how I match.
