Do you still get free water park tickets this summer?

If you have a reservation the water park shows up under “my plans” on the website (not the app). Just tap your magic band to get in. No need to check in first (you can “check in” anytime in the app anyway - and you should probably do it).

This is what it looks like on the website. I didn't realize they had both waterparks open now. When did that change. For the longest time it was just one or the other.

I think the free waterpark admission is only valid for arrivals from May 26 to September 8, 2026.

They are open simultaneously for the duration of this promotion (TL starts refurbish Sep 9). But even with that, we were there recently (arrived around 1pm) and it was unbearably crowded till around 4pm.

If they are properly linked to your reservation they will have access with their keys or magic bands.

If it is an II reservation, you have to call DVC member services to add their names. You can only add up to the occupancy of the room.

If you have the "My Disney Experience" App link your reservation to the app and the tickets will show up after midnight on the day of check in.
You can choose either waterpark that is open.
Both of them have been open since last year but with Disney you never know.
You have to use it on the day of check in or you lose the tickets.

If the weather is bad they close the park so get there early because with afternoon thunder storms chances are high they will close the park
or close it "temporarily" which could lead to a very long temporary.
We ended up leaving because the radar showed about 2 hours of temporary storms.
There aren't many places to get out of the rain in the parks.

Yes they all get tickets but only up to the maximum occupancy of your room.
When you link them in your "My Disney Experience" app you can all swipe in together.
If this is an II exchange you probably have to call to add them and then link the reservation number to your MDE app.

That started last summer, closed one in the fall I think, then they opened both again this summer. Looks like they're going to have two open for peak water park season going forward.

This perk sounds great, but I wonder how many people can use it. Our experience was we couldn't. We had good intentions. We live in Florida and were checking in to Boardwalk. During our drive it started storming. Pretty much rained the entire way down. Our hope was our room would be ready relativly early so we could drop all our crap off instead of letting it sit out in the vehicle in the hot sun in a parking lot. In any case, we didn't get a text that the room was ready until exactly 4pm and the weather basically sucked at that point. Not uncommon for Central Florida in July. If you are planning to take advantage of this perk, you need to be able to go in the morning when the waterpark opens. Something that many may not be able to do on the day of arrival.
