Do you have a golf cart? Does it have a horn?

We love our golf cart at our mobile home park! We use it for golf, but also to tootle around visiting friends, going to dances, dinners, Bingo at the clubhouse. DH uses it to transport yard clippings and tree branches, etc. to the designated spot at the back of the park.

Yes, we have a horn, but I have never used it!

A viral video posted to Twitter this weekend shows five girls cruising down Route 50 near Bowie, Maryland, in a stolen golf cart – apparently determined to make it to D.C. after missing their Lyft.

"I’m thinking what is this golf cart doing?” he said. "I could see people saying 'slow down' and honking their horns. They were looking calm and normal like they’re just driving on a Sunday drive.”

All of the girls were either 15 or 16 years old.

We had a golf cart accident today. We normally play at our country club using our own golf cart but since they have this morning blocked off for a tournament, we decided to play at another course where we live.

Coming down the cart path on hole 6, the club's cart governor did not kick in and my husband stepped on the brakes but the cart would not slow down. He turned the wheels anti-clockwise in the hope of hitting the curb to slow it down and when it did, the cart spun around and bounced off the right and turned over and landed the left side of the cart. I hit my head but otherwise I am ok. My husband's left hip and thigh are badly bruised and hurting and got tears on the skin on his left knee. We took a bit of effort to climb out the cart. Be careful when driving a golf cart! Our own golf cart is like the one that Glynda has except hers is street legal and ours is not. Ours has a governor and auto-brake and would never have overturned on a slope like the one at this golf club. Anyway, they want us to bill us for the repair while we maintain that the cart has mechanical issue. We shall see.

My husband is now resting and we have a tournament this Friday. It is a foursome and I told him that we will cover him as it is scramble format. I have Skins game every Friday morning and I have not played more than one golf round within the same day up to this point, so it will be fun. If you play golf, playing Skins is alot of fun.

Yes. To be street legal it needs to have a horn as one requirement.

Thanks! I thought so. I know we have to have a full windshield with wipers, side mirrors, rear view mirror, seat belts, lights, blinkers, license tag, and pay taxes and insurance. What I wish we had are windshield visors. Oh and two rows facing forward!

Kim recently sold his car so we are down to one car, a golf cart and a Vespa 250 motorcycle now. That may not last once I’m back out and about after COVID. I’ll want my car back! I can't believe some people have let their grandchildren drive them on our road! Plus with the construction vehicles and everything going on here!

HOA has sent out several emails but once in a while I still see it. I don't have an issue if the greandparent is with them. but alone and with other children? Not good.
