Do owners at Lawa'i Beach Resort pay the $40 per day resort fee, or any fee?

I read on their webpage that if you are in the Ali'i building you can rent an AC unit? Is that correct, and how much is it?

Owners do not pay the fees however they do charge it to guests of owners and renters, (any unit not physically occupied by the owner) no exceptions. This according to the latest newsletter to owners. No idea about the AC charge, the newsletter said they are still working on how best to install AC in the units so I believe there is no AC. We've never needed it in November, August might be different. Portable fans are in the bedrooms.

If you go to the Lawai Beach Resort web page and click onto Obana News, then scroll to General Manager’s Message you can see the information about fees.
