Do Manor Club Sequel Units have a Fireplace?

Is there a fireplace in the manor club SEQUEL units or are the fireplaces just in the original buildings? What kind of fireplaces are they: gas or real wood burning fireplaces?

The fireplaces at Manor Club are gas, and they are very nice. The main (1 bedroom) side of the villas in the Sequel section have fireplaces. The lock off (studio) side of the villas do not.

The fireplaces are seasonal. They turn off the gas over the summer months.

I was at MMC July 4 week and the fireplace worked even though it was 100 degrees outside. Wonder why yours was off, not that it was much use anyways.

My experience with the fireplaces is that the Sequel ones must be somewhat different as the MMC ones let off very little heat and were more decorative than anything else, while the Sequel one I had in April a couple of years back was so hot we had to turn it off.

We checked in on the 4th - small world. I asked about the fireplace and they told me they shut them down. Maybe they did not get to yours??

if it were wood burning, I vventure the front desk would probably require you sign a waiver of sort before letting you have your keys. lol

MMC Sequel

We were in MMC Sequel from 6/13 - 6/27 2008 and the fireplace worked, but had a bad gas smell and we had to turn it off. However, since it was 90+ degrees all but one day, we did not think to try it again.

Me, too. I just put in an offer (and it was accepted by the seller) on a Platinum Sequel lockoff for $8,000. Just waiting to see if it passes ROFR. I'll let everyone know when I find out........

The ROFR floor seemed to be around 11k for Platinum Sequel if I remember correctly about a year ago. We'll see if I hit this at the right economic timing to go through.......fingers crossed!
