Do II get mad for canceling?

I had quite a few exchanges and I wanted to cancel since it didn't work out with my vacation plan.
If you call II often to cancel them, do II get mad?
Do II keep in track of what you reserved and canceled?

There is no way you can cancel on-line so you have to call them all the time.

They don't get mad; they keep your exchange fees and reduce the trading power of your weeks. It's a considerable punishment.

This is one of my concerns too right now. I want to go to Vancouver for the summer of 2010 and have probably 3 weeks available split between II, RCI, DAE and SFX. So far, II is the only one (and DAE) looking for Vancouver. If I had SFX and they come through first, do I lose my exchange fee from II or can I just substitute another request? I'd like to add a consecutive week for Whistler, but can't until I know when I can go to Vancouver and Whistler seems the easier trade.

Do not know about II, but I had a bad experience at a resort from them and then had another week booked for another time and they immediately rectified the situation and got me into another resort. I give SFX right now an A plus for customer service and satisfaction in time of need. I have not utilized them much due to my inflexibility, but if I can I certainly will due to their quick action and response.

I will be interested to hear what occurs with II...

You can cancel your II request at any time and receive a refund of your exchange fee.

As long as it has not been filled. Once filled you have 24 hrs to cancel.

This was going back about 6 years but I had a similar bad experience with a resort that I had booked through II. At the time, II really came through very nicely for me. After one phone call and explanation, they checked some things out, and called me back within a half hour with a solution. They ended up moving us to another resort. Not only that, but we originally had a 1 BR and they moved us into a 2 BR because that was what they had available. And the representative that handled the whole transaction was very kind and compassionate.
