Just curios. I'm not a HRC owner. I occasionally see Hyatt/Welk properties bookable as Getaways in Interval. Can you add your WOH account number to these reservations and have it count toward your Hyatt stays/points?

I'm thinking booking inexpensive Desert Oasis weeks could help in qualifying for Globalist.

I understand Hyatt hotels doesn't own HRC. If I book a Marriott TS week and add my Bonvoy number it counts toward status qualification. Just wondering if it works with Hyatt.

They're not even the same company anymore.

And trading your HRC points for WOH hotel points was always a bad, bad deal. Utterly lopsided.

From day one, Hyatt (when the Pritzkers owned it all) treated the two systems like two separate systems. Hotel status didn't help the timeshares. Timeshares didn't help with hotel status. They were very much against any kind of integration.

No.

Even stays booked at HRC resorts for cash on hyatt.com using owner's discount don't count.

It did for me last summer (booked extra nights at HKB using owner discount). But I do agree that the other situations wouldn’t

No with an asterisk (Or two)
*1) If you are staying at a property that doubles as a Hyatt Hotel (Ie, Carmel or Park Hyatt Beaver Creek / not sure if this works at the non-Hyatt Hotel properties), you give your World of Hyatt Hotel account number when you arrive, bill everything to the room. When you settle the bill, it will be counted toward Hyatt Hotel points. Stays will not be credited.
*2) You book through the Hyatt Hotel website (which is not the use case we are discussing), stays and points should be credited.

True dat. I get credit for food tab at Coconut Plantation. I don't think the midweek cleaning fee qualifies.
