I have 6 nights reserved using MR points for a trip the Kauai staying at the Waiohai. Unfortunately they are not consecutive, as it stands now I will have to pay for the one night (night 3). It is costing me a lot more points than if the first 6 nights were using points and the last night I was paying for. Is there any way around that? Also do you know if the number of points for this hotel will increase with the program changes on Jan 15th? I wasn't sure if it was a category hotel.

Thanks

Bummer. Just check daily hoping for that single day to become available before Jan 15. If it does your VOA can piece it all together as a single reservation with consecutive days. If not, after Jan 15, that day may become available. At that point, call your VOA and see if she can move days around for you and at least get the six days together at the retroed rewards rate. Its a long shot, but why not try.

Oh, one more thing. Call and ask for the manager of the resort to see if he can (or will) do anything. I had a rewards stay at a timeshare that was one day off from my second room, a reservation stay. I called the resort directly and very politely asked the manager to help. He called me back about half an hour later and had the rooms matched up.

In the past I have been able to use say a 6night reward even though the 6 nights were not consecutive. Then I would pay for the day or day(s) in between with cash. This doesn't sound like what you reserved, so i would call back and get another CS and see if they can get this done for you. Ordering the one 6 night award is a lot less points than ordering multiple smaller night awards.
