Only stopped at Barbados on a cruise ship many years ago and want to go back. II only has two listed, Southwinds and Divi Heritage. Could anyone tell me about these places? Saw Divi Heritage was on one of the "worst" lists. Reasons? Says you can use amenities at Almond Beach. Is that still the case?

We stayed in the Divi Southwinds Beach and Racquet Club a year and a half ago. It was WONDERFUL. The rooms were just redone and gorgeous. The location is perfect. You can walk to St. Lawrence Gap to lots of restaurants and the beach is nice. I would grab it quick. I would not recommend the Southwinds Beach Villas. This is a separate trade. While it is on the beach instead of across the road, the units were rundown looking. We would have been disappointed if we had been staying there. Perhaps they have redone them in the past year, I don't know.
