When did Disney start depositing weeks into RCI and if this is so, how come I can't find their resorts in the online RCI resort directory? I realize I don't know the name of all the Disney resorts but I did a search for Disney and couldn't find any. Where do I look for these resorts? Are they depositing all of them to RCI?

After my post above, I did find information on this in another thread but there was speculation among some that the Disneys will only be available through the RCI points system, rather than RCI weeks. Has this been cleared up yet?

not a good deal in my opinion

I have timeshares in rci and interval and always buy ones that can be listed with both for the most versatility. In my opinion this move is not an advantage to the disney owners....which is what disney is saying to their owners. If they were interested in that they would have simply ADDED rci instead of replacing interval with rci. Now their owners have no access to the marriotts or the hyatts, etc. In addition, if you are familiar with the rci policy on their most popular resorts...they restrict your ability to trade for them by limiting your ability to request it more than once every 4 years. I inquired of rci if they were going to do that with the disney resorts and they confirmed that they would probably be implementing that policy with these resorts. That policy is not used by interval. I have traded into disney resorts several times and they are going to be harder to get now since the switch. I trade weeks not points for them. I will be staying there again in Feb....and will be advising the disney vacation club of my unhappiness with this switch vs. just adding rci.

Disney Vacation Club (DVC) is available thru both RCI points and weeks deposits. I could get all the DVCs listed on the sightings board using my tiger traders (weeks). NO generic wyndham deposits would pull the DVCs - attempts were made to 256k.

The generics do NOT have the trades power to pull these at this point in time.

disney

I don't understand what you're talking about.....what do you mean by "generic" and one of the weeks I traded into Disney with last year was a Wyndham deposit I had with Interval. Are you saying that they won't trade Wyndham for Disney in rci? Please help me understand what you're referring to. Thanks

my comments are on DVCs in RCI, not Interval.

Athis point in time, no Wyndham deposits (point deposits up to 256k) are pulling DVCs. Wyndham owners that have Partner's Plus are reporting DVC availability thru that program.
