TUG boards informed me Disney was pulling out of Interval at the end of the year.

So, I figured "why not... what can I lose." I sent my Marriott advisor an email requesting a trade request for any Disney property. Figured if a trade went through before the end of the year, then it was meant to be and we would go so we could say we stayed on property once.

Marriott advisor said Interval wouldn't even let them put in a request anymore.

Certainly not the end of the world for us.

We did enjoy our trade into Disney's Vero Beach a couple of years ago. :)

(we really don't know what we want to do next year with our deposited unit -- already booked our bonus week for San Diego Lawrence Welk next June).

Well, it's a good thing that Marriott has fantastic timeshares in Orlando. It's not the worse thing in the world to lose DVC. As my kids get older, I'm actually enjoying the location of the off-sites more and more. The kids want to do Discovery cove/Seaworld/Aquatica... soon they'll want to do US/IOA. And Citywalk is getting more appealling, especially since they closed Pleasure Island.

That was certainly an abrupt end to the II/DVC relationship.

I'm sure you'll find some place wonderful to go with that deposit.

Some of us DVCers aren't very happy about the change. I just purchased DVC recently and although we purchased mainly to stay at DW, I was looking forward to the option of trading into II someday.
