OK,

Someone please stop me. I just made my 4th exchange into Disney this year. My friends were going and I said if I can find cheap airfare, I'll go. Found $186 pp round trip and got a 1BR Saratoga August 24-31.

This will be the 4th time this year I am in Disney. My Mom thinks I'm nuts but my kids love it.

Hope you got an annual pass. The last time we bought them, we were there five - six weeks within the year. Even I was tired of Disney for a while after that and DH didn't want to go back for a LONG time.

I thought that we were addicted with 3 Disney exchange weeks in one year, and we only have to drive an hour to get there. I am impressed that you are flying down 4 times in one year:D

We got a little Disney'd out after 7 plus years of DVC membership and have branched out a bit more. Believe it or not, eventually you can get a little tired of it ;) I still enjoy my onsite DVC stays, but I've been enjoying trying other resorts in Orlando, too. Especially the newly renovated or brand new resorts. There is something so nice about staying at a "fresh" and updated resort. We really enjoyed Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas. They had flat screen TV's, new carpeting, and the rooms felt clean and fresh.

I wish Disney would overhaul the rooms at Boardwalk. The hallway carpets are starting to look really worn and dirty and the TV's in the rooms are dated/small. We had quite a few issues with a pull out couch bed the last time we stayed. We were sleeping with our heads slanted down on probably the worst mattress ever. The location was great (you can walk to Epcot or Hollywood Studios), but the unit needed work and freshening up. Maybe since we have started staying at various resorts (Disney and non Disney) I just notice more things. I was very impressed with Marriott's Cypress Harbour when we stayed there in the spring. They had people constantly emptying trash and tidying around the grounds. It reminded me of the way it used to be when we first joined DVC.

I think that Orlando resorts in general (including Disney resorts) take a real beating from all the traffic. I'm starting to base our choice of resorts on the last time the resort was renovated or whether it's brand new and fresh.

I am sorry, but I cannot help you. I made 2 exchanges this past January (2 weeks at the Beach Club); we have 3 exchanges for this Sept. (1 week at Wilderness and 2 weeks at OKW); and another 2 exchanges in December (OKW and Boardwalk). I can't stop either!

Wow klynn,

You have me beat. I found the airfare on Southwest. I got $64 for 3 people one way, then $64 for 1 the other way, and $119 for the other two. With taxes and all included, then divide by 3 people, you get $186 pp. If it was just me going, it would have only been $149.

Yep, we got disney'd out too after 12 years in a row of vacationing at Disney. It was only then after 12 years that we bought at Grande Vista with DH agreeing to purchase only if every other year we go to see Mickey! Once we started branching out and found less expensive vacations, the disney "addiction" came under control.

Orlando has so many beautiful resorts, I find that I want to stay at them all - whoopee. II and RCI allows me to do that. It's really fun, too, to see the variety and what the different Orlando properties have to offer. So many resorts and so little vacation time to go as much as I would like. :whoopie:

I love Disney too, as does my 12 year old daughter. My husband enjoys it but my 2 sons ages 11 and 9 would rather just golf than visit Disney! My daughter and I ended up at Disney 4 times in the past year also, with our most recent stay in June and I am, at this moment, truly "Disney-d out";) However, last year we spent New Year's Eve at MGM studios and it was spectacular!!! The live music, the party atmosphere, the lights, etc. etc. were well worth the trip if anyone is inclined to go.

Well, we're disney nuts on the other side of the continent! :D But our dream is to go to DW for 2 full weeks and stay on property. Airfare from AZ gets costly and with unemployment periods and a surprise baby, just haven't gotten there yet! I'm sure we'll be hooked once we do!

But we've managed at least one trip a year to DL for the past 11 years. We go for 3-5 days, and only have the two parks to split it between! Can't imagine how you'd tire of 4 parks in FL! After only 2 months, we're itchin' to go back (I like to compare it to forgetting the pain of childbirth! :p ). This past December, we got annual passes to cover our trip for this upcoming December as well. But of course, those start burning a hole in your pocket and we managed another trip in May and hoping to make it back out in October!

So be careful of those annual passes! I think they actually cost you MORE money than they do save because it's too easy to justify going back 3, 4, 5...more times! :)
