Sale started at 12:01 AM Eastern. We were signed in and waiting on the page ahead of time and started clicking Refresh at 12:00 Eastern so we could put one in our basket ASAP! It’s a 7.5% savings ($185 for a $200 GC), not even counting the 3% back, which is better than the 5% we save with our Target Red Card. Well worth it to us - we already applied it to our 2023 dues this morning. Unfortunately, with other Christmas and end of year expenditures we couldn’t buy more than one.

I hope others who wanted them got them — those discounted Disney GC tend to sell out fast.

Limit two. Disappointing! I wanted to buy 10-20 to pay our maintenance fees.

Well, two is better than none, right? If they let people buy more than that, they might have sold out before you or we could get one. We’ll have to be satisfied with the Target Red Card discount for the rest of our dues.

I'd have to think about it because I have a credit card that gets 5X Chase points at Office Max/ Office Depot/ Staples. When I transfer those to my Chase Sapphire Reserve, I get 1.5X. Basically a $1,000 purchase gets 5,000 points, and when I use those for travel in Chase's UR portal, it's $75.00 in travel. Those points are easy to use through the portal, and I am very glad Chase dropped Expedia for airfare.

Right. No need for anyone to be greedy.

Can you purchase two with your credit card and your spouse would then purchase two with a different credit card number ?

Can you do that?

If you are asking about Sams club - I assume it 2 per membership.
BJ's wholesale club is about 6% off right now too.

Buying discounted Disney GCs is a side hobby of mine. I do it all year long with the goal of at least 10% - but sometimes you can stack and get up to 25%! But like all travel hacking it takes a bit of work. Personally for ease I use my Chase Offers for a lot of this. Example: Chase offers currently has anywhere from 5-15% off ShopDisney purchases, CVS has 10% and Kohls has 20% up to a max amount. AND sometimes you can get lucky and have cash back portals like Ibotta, Rakutten, Paypal etc also payout on them. They are not supose to for GCs, but alot do!

Can you explain the Kohls? How do you use Kohls to get a discount?

Chase credit cards have "Offers" you can add on their site or app. If you have Chase cards, it is worth looking at all the offers a couple times a month. They are usually not big, but you can easily stack with cashback sites for online shopping. I only have the Kohls offer on 2 cards. You simply add the offer,by clicking on it. Then when you use that particular card you get the discount as a credit on your statement. Easy way to save alittle extra. I will head to my Kohls store this week and look to see if they have Disney Gift cards on their rack - if so I will purchase a $100 card and in the end only be charged $80 after the credit. (unless of course I find something more interesting in the store to purchase for $100, which has a high probability)

I didn't know about the Kohl's. That's pretty great. $20 back after buying a $100 gift card. No brainer. That $100 card would be valuable to me for sure.
