Please advise: Do current *wood owners get a discount on additional purchases? Also, if there is a discount, then is it available to owners that purchased resale? Thanks.

Seenett is the expert here, but typically owners that purchased from the DEVELOPER that own PLATINUM intervals are offered EOY units at 50% of the EY cost, rather than the 60% or 70% of EY prices (can't remember which) that Starwood typically charge for EOY units.

Anyone else know more?

That was exactly the situation last October when I stopped by Mission Hills. They were offering Cancun EOY for 50% of the EY cost to current Platinum Starwood owners. In June I stopped by Ka'anapali and was told the same thing about Ka'anapali North.

Is there any discount on Price? When I was at Mission Hills several months ago they told me that if I buy Cancun then they would give me a 33% discount on additional purchases at Maui? So would this be true for current owners?

I have never heard of this and am pretty sure that is a salesperson's lie. I've been active on TUG for almost 3 years now as a Maui owner and have sat through Starwood sales presentations as a Maui owner at Kierland, WSJ, and WKORV.... and that has never come up. But I have been consistantly offered the 50% price for EOY units.

Why would they discount Maui? They have people lining up to pay full price.

Anyone else know anything?

I know it doesn't work for buying at Harborside, but I'm curious if platinum status at Harborside would entitle one to that discount at another Starwood resort. Anybody know?
