First of all, don't worry, I haven't lost my mind! I'm just trying to do a price comparison between several timeshare companies.

Does anyone know what the "rack" prices are for new development with Wyndham? I'm especially interested in knowing about Park City and Beaver Creek.

Also, if you know the "real" price they will sell it for, that would be helpful.

Thanks.

The last I heard it was $220 per 1000 points. Resell CWA points will get you the same priority if APR is what you want and will save you tens of thousands of dollars...

$250/1000 is the current rack price. May this year bought for $130/1000. Since the best price I could get was$150/1000.

In Chicago this summer - told $250/1000 for non-Wyndham owners (new to Wyndham) and $220/1000 to start for current owners

My parents bought over a million points back in the Fairfield days before the Wyndham takeover. I maybe mistaken; I think I saw somewhere that they bought back then for around $50 per 1000. I need to look at the contracts to be sure. Whenever I attend a Wyndham 'presentation' the weasels comment on how cheap it was back then and then they try to get me to convert to CWA or trade for a deed somewhere, and offer me nothing in trade-in. One sales weasels went as far as saying I shouldn't be Platinum because Fairfield VIP ownerships cannot be inherited and then offer me what he called a 'good deal' on points that would keep me Platinum. It was $200 per 1000 at that time. I didn't buy because I knew he was lying, something sales weasels do well...

My first points were around $105 per 1K from Fairfield, then the developer...

My first house only cost $28,500. Brand new & I got to pick out the rugs. Should have brought MORE houses instead ... at least they went UP in value.

LOL! My first house (1977) was $25,000, but it was a handyman special on 1/2 acre. After spending $75,000 plus sweat to upgrade it, it went up in value, though the market was down when we sold it. Compare that with our $208,000 house on 10 1/2 acres (bought in 1987) that has barely appreciated even with 100's of thousands of dollars put into it. Crazy thing the real estate market. Almost as crazy as the timeshare market! Ha! Ha!
