Any suggestion when I should use my 'Dinner For Two' cert in Paris?

Also, do I just contact the restaurant directly to book?

Thanks in advance.

I've only had dinner twice in one of the Marriott Paris hotels - the one on Champs Elysees - and was less than impressed compared to all the non-hotel special dining rooms around the hotel. It was pretty good, but felt quite 'hotel' like if you know what I mean.

I had dinner at the same restaurant (Marriott Champs Elysee) and it was one of the most memorable restaurant experiences i've had. This was about 3 years ago so maybe things have changed since then. It may be worth another try?

We used ours at the one on Champs - Elysees. It was a total waste of the certificate. Dinner, while it would have been expensive, was terrible and the setting felt like I was being served on the Astroturf Patio next to the pool. Yet, this was one of the very few Paris-Marriott restaurants where the cert. was honored. Personally, if I were you, I would use my cert. elsewhere. But, if you must use it in Paris, there are not that many choices.

We used one of these certificates at the Champs property this summer.

This is not a "destination" restaurant that people travel to Paris to eat at. However, we were tired and it was cold and rainy so we decided not to leave the hotel that night.

I thought the food was very good. Of course, we ate way too much since the portions were large and we got courses (e.g. dessert) that we wouldn't typically order since they were included in the package.

The decor was fine. Maybe it has been renovated since the other poster was there. The overall atmosphere was a little odd since the restaurant was practically empty. However, that did result in good service.

Overall, I thought this was a good value for what it is.

We had dinner at the Renaissance Hotel, I believe Sevens was the name of the restaurant. It was awesome.

Interesting batch of experiences... Thanks to all.

The last poster 'Sunbum' - which Renaissance was it - Renaissance Paris Hotel Le Parc Trocadero OR Renaissance Paris Vendome Hotel?

The latter is excluded for Dinner For 2.

Also, do you have to book with the restaurant directly or one can just turn up?

Thanks again.

We just showed up, no problem. We were there in Oct. 07
