Hello -

We live and SC and have decided to blow all our points that we didn't use this year for 3 4 night trips, two of which will be the HHI. The first is in September which is right around the corner. I was wondering if anyone had a recent experience with restaurant dining on HHI or Bluffton - ie how safe they felt, were people generally spaced out, or if they were able to enjoy outdoor dining. I'm a little concerned about eating outside as it is still quite hot in September and that would reduce our enjoyment. So any recommendations would be appreciated. We usually eat at Frankie Bones at least once each trip but that place seems real small and we would be on top of each other. I don't mind wearing a mask into the restaurant, but if we have to wear one while sitting at our table waiting for our food, then we will be doing only take out. Just a note - we have been going out here in North Myrtle Beach quite a lot and generally they have done a good job except for one place where we ate outside and definitely felt uncomfortable.

Thanks -

David

A few in S and VA, a single resort in NC, MD, PA, and UT, plus Jamaica and the Bahamas
When we stayed In HHI earlier in July we mainly went to the seafood markets and then cooked at the resort or used the grill (Grand Ocean). We did carry out from a Greek restaurant (It's Greek to Me) and ate out once at Scott's Seafood Market (not a market but a restaurant in Shelter Cove) We went midweek and ate outside and asked to be away from the music so we were at an end table with some shade so it was good and we felt safe. Toward the end of the meal a bunch of flies started to bother us though.
