The email address I used last year to make my payment did not work yesterday. As a result, I sent an email to blpres@beekmanlifestyle.co.za letting them know the email address I used last year did not work. They actually called this morning to address the issue. The correct email address to use now is: blp@beekmanlifestyle.co.za The 2027 fee for a 1-bedroom was $376.78 USD.

How is Dik trading these days? I once had three weeks there, but after a management change, they became more difficult to deal with. I kept using them for DAE Europe deposits for a while, then downsized my number of weeks, finally getting rid of the last one.

It got discouraging when RCI arbitrarily reduced trading power for US owners of SA weeks. After that happened, I ran into a South African couple on a timeshare exchange to France who owned at Dik. Going through RCI South Africa they could still pull the trades in Europe that I used to be able to pull but no longer could. RCI was clearly applying a double standard, shortchanging US owners of SA weeks.

My deposits get 25 TPU’s.

When RCI went to "points lite" (TPU), I got out of RCI, so unfortunately I do not have an idea of what that will trade for. Will it get you a summer beach week in the southeast or a high season week in the Catibbean?

Back in the good old days in RCI before Points, I discovered something very useful in the European version of the RCI Directory that was not in the US version. It was a supply / demand chart with single digit numerical values for resort regions with groupings of week numbers. What that chart told me for South Africa was that the flex weeks right around the fixed weeks had the same supply / demand values as the fixed weeks. On the other hand, some of the red weeks around the white weeks were really pink with similar supply / demand values of the white weeks. While most Americans just asked Dik to deposit "a red week", I asked for and got those weeks right around the fixed weeks, and they were tiger traders. They would pull anything my August UK week and my summer Dutch beach week would.

Then management at Dik changed and they would no longer let me pick weeks. I was arbitrarily given one of the pink weeks. My other deposits that year had been with DAE. Then RCI did an arbitrary devaluation of South Africa, which was noted here on TIUG. When I checked online, I found that some of the European inventory I had seen a week or so before with an older Dik deposit did not show up with Dik anymore but it was still in the system because it showed up when I looked with my European weeks. After that I gave my Dik deposits to DAE Europe.

One of the two arbitrary SA downgrades at RCI happened right after a Tugger got interviewed on timeshare by the New York Times while he was exchanging into Manhattan Club and told the reporter that he had traded his "little grass shack" in South Africa into Manhattan Club. That led Manhattan Club to bitch at RCI about it, and ultimately the downgrade. When the Tugger who had made the comment to the Times posted about it here, a number of other Tugger had warned that this was not a smart thing to say to the media, especially in the home town of what considered itself a premium US resort.

I just paid my Levy for 2027, waiting to hear back from the RCI specialist to see how many points I get this year. Levy was $531.28 for 2 bedroom 6 sleeper unit.

I got 19 TPU for 2027. Compared to 17 in 2026.
