Different resale purchases, which Use Year?

Sorry to bother again. But the Search function doesn't seem to be working.

Question: if one buys several resale point packages with Use Years beginning in different quarters, can one consolidate all the packages into one group of points in one account with a Use Year starting in one particular quarter? If so, how does one select the quarter (when registering the first contract purchased, perhaps)?

Many thanks in advance!

Others will chime in but I'm not sure there's an advantage in consolidating and there may be reasons not to.

I'm pretty sure when you do a cancellation, the points go back to a current use year. In effect, you can roll points forward.

I have three different use years, a lot of points, and do a lot of cancellations. More often than not I don't know where points came from and don't know where they go when I do a cancellation. Others probably keep better track.

If you do decide to consolidate, I bet it will require a purchase. Everything requires a purchase.

I think there are enough resale contracts for sale (on TUG, eBay, etc), that if you want all your points on one use-year, you can buy them that way. I also think Wyndham MAY be willing to put contracts onto one use-year, but you should call and check (I think they have done this in the past as a one-time favor, but not sure if they are still doing that).

I have 3 different use years and they work fine that way, so in my opinion and experience, you don't need to worry about it. As long as they are all deeded the same way, they all will go into one member number (account) and can be used together.

Getting them deeded the same way is key. I have 2 different use years, my EY is a July and my EOY is December. Then I have Disney points which have an October UY.

I keep a cheat sheet up on my frig with current point totals and have reminders set up on when to point pool etc, when booking windows are. You would laugh if you looked at my calendar agenda.
