Resurrecting this thread to see if there are any updated photos of the Deluxe units since 2017....strangely I can't find much on YouTube or the web for the Deluxe units (Ocean Front or otherwise). Curious how they look after recent renovations.

Would also love an update on the washer dryers - are they still in the kitchen and still of high(er) quality? Related - does the studio deluxe just have the standard stackable in a closet?

Any other advantages/disadvantages to these units?

We've scored a few nights in a 2 bed OFD via StarOptions and will be the first time staying in the Deluxe unit.

I have some photos from last Sept (1Bd side) and last March (studio side).
I will try and post.

On the 1Bd side (in our villa) the updated appliances were good quality.
The studio has a stacked W/D in closet.

I believe @Denise L is currently (or soon) staying in a OFD - she may be able to give better details.

IMO - the OFD villas are best in entire system - although I am biased as an OFD owner.

We should booked a week long stay for Jan 2024. Originally the reservation was for a 1BR OF and said corner. We had to shift a day and we lost corner designation. So I assume we are in a center unit now. MVC doesn't distinguish for booking purposes.

Looking at the floorplan of the studio OFD (post #4), I don't see a sleeper sofa. Does it only sleep 2?

(I do see a sleeper sofa in the photos of the OFC studio in post #15)

The studios all have a sleeper sofa and sleep 4, but the floor plan doesn't do a good job showing the couch. However, remember that all of the Vistana floor plans are labled "artist's rendering, actual floor plan may vary, blah, blah, blah." But since the studio confirmation lists occupancy as "4" you can be confident that there is a sleeper sofa.

When you cancelled your first reservation, and made the new reservation, it either said "Oceanfront" or "Oceanfront Deluxe" on the villa finder and the confirmation issued by Vistana. That's how you know.

I can try to take some photos next week before we make a mess of the place

We arrived last night in a 1 BR, moving next week to the Studio. I just took these pics. The TV is newer as of about 6 months ago but the other appliances seem to be what I remember from before. OFD is the best, views from 2 sides of the unit, and full balcony on the studio.

Not sure, but it may have been an Abound Club Points reservation and that system doesn't differentiate.

It does and it doesn't. I picked up the nights I have via Abound points. In the booking process the text just says "Ocean Front" but when clicking on the room type I could see different floorplans (one had the Deluxe Floorplan and one had the regular Ocean Front floorplan). I selected the Deluxe. In my Marriott Bonvoy account "My Trips" it identifies my reservation as " Oceanfront, Corner room".

Is there a difference in the Abound Club Points values for ownership between the OFD and OFC?
Speaking specifically for floating, 2BR annual usage.
Considering buying resale. I realize I would have to requalify the week (or whatever the process is called now) if allowed to participate in the Club Points arena.

The Election value is the same for OFD and OFC.

IMO - if you are planning to convert OFD/OFC for CP conversion by purchasing resale with the intent to requal - reconsider.

While the CP value is good - you should own OFD/OFC to use or rent. It is a costly proposition to buy these, and then buy more from MVC via requal. You could probably save money by just renting OF when you want to go.

Thanks Dan and David. It was mostly a point of curiosity regarding CP and I'm not planning to convert if I purchase the resale. But if I've learned anything in timesharing, we never know what the future holds. There may be a time where conversion makes sense. I agree now is not that time. Appreciate your input!
