Did RCI take away resort search by points range & the all available units listing?

I cannot seem to find it as I had a bunch of saved searches for resorts under 10,000 points, like for 30 days or less. They used to have the search by points value starting with less than 10,000 points, in 10,000 point increments. Also the Listing of ALL available units at a resort with point value is gone. The only way to do that is to click on every check-in date on the calendar to see where is the lowest points for a week reservation. That is a huge inconvenience if you have a resort that varies from 11,000 points to 80,000 points having 100+ units available but trying to quickly locate the unit/week that is the cheapest points seems real time consuming clicking on every available date until you see the points value week that works for you, compared to how we could search in the past by points value and be able to see a list ALL available units for a resort.

Search

I should have known Rci would mess up, so I should have went ahead & booked my week before the enchancement. NO telling how long RCI will take to fix the search issue. I can't believe that RCI actually pays people to make a site worst. Granted, some things improved for members, but why can't the whole site be improved without a lot of bugs to be worked out.

Sad news. Just talked to RCI Web Team and they removed the Search by points and the ability to view a whole list of all available weeks at one resort. So its just a single check-in date search only at a resort in order to find out TPU or points. It's permanent. Going to take a lot of time to search for the weeks at lowest TPU or points. I guess they want to try to discourage placing holds on units unless you know the exact date you want to travel. But for me I can vacation every other week, so date doesnt matter, lowest Points or TPUs is what matters for me. All they said was to email feedback@rci.com.

Instead of listing specific housekeeping fees for less than 7 day stays the urgent information has been shortened to Housekeeping fees apply. I guess I have to call each resort to find out how much they would be.

I noticed some resorts that had like a $75 housekeeping fee for less than 7 days stays is not listed now, like my home resort used to charge $75 for less than 7 days stays, now it says nothing about housekeeping fees...

Changes not for Handicapped

Just wrote RCI saying they took out features that made the site Handicapped friendly, now its not handicapped friendly. Millions who suffer Carpal Tunnel Syndrome cannot be doing 200 clicks just to find the lowest point total for a week at a resort that has 200+ units available when Date means nothing to them, all they care is just take a vacation at their favorite resort with lowest point total possible for a whole week.

My mother-in-law who is in her 70's, owns a resort with RCI points that currently has 300 units available from 13,000 to 64,000 points and for her at her age with carpal tunnel cannot be clicking up to 300 times just to find a week that matches her point spending limit (27,000 or less) when before all she had to do was 3 clicks and a scroll. It is just sad for RCI to remove a feature that allowed a handicapped person easy access to what they want to do and now make it almost impossible to do now.

So much for doing sightings in RCI Points.
Maybe they're trying to destroy the program on purpose. :annoyed:

Why else would they screw up the search with this worthless "enhancement".
I'm not happy. :crash:

Since I am not searching for stays by points but by locations and am usually flexible about the number of days, I find the new set up much user friendly. I found a 2 bedroom over a weekend in July in Virginia Beach. In the past I would have to look up each 30 days try 7 days, 6 days, 5 days, 4days, etc to see what was available. Usually if I didn't grab something at exactly 10 months it wasn't worth the trouble to search. I also could see what was available for the 2 days before my Easter week that is reserved Sun-Sun. much easier than in the past.
