Did any small business owners here get the EIDL "grant"?

Over half of the people that I know are small business owners. No one that I know got anything from the EIDL "grant" and many never heard anything back from SBA after applying. I applied on 3/30/20, called them and a couple weeks later got an email saying that too many people responded to give out $10K and they were going to give everyone $1K per employee up to $10K. Then, I never heard from them again. They never deposited anything to us.

I am only asking about EIDL in this thread and not about the PPP. It was so widely publicized that small businesses just needed to fill out the app on the SBA website and they'd get a $10K deposit in 3 days. I know lots of small business owners who applied, yet I know none who got anything.

No one that we know was able to get the money. Our son has a small fireplace store near Park Meadows Mall in Lone Tree, and he didn't get it. The money was gone. He has four employees he is continuing to pay. He is looking into refinancing his home mortgage to pay his loyal staff.

We applied for the EIDL and we have not heard anything. It has been over 2.5 weeks.

Several our our bowling center members here in Wisconsin have been approved and been funded with the $10K initial grant.

My restaurant friend owner did received his loan . He went thru a local bank called Towne Bank. Where over 90% of their loans were approved. That was the best news for his family ,

Yes, we did receive the EDIL a while back. They limited it to $1000 per employee that was listed on the application. I know some people that listed over 10 employees and they received $10,000 so the top limit is $10,000. I know others that forgot to include themselves or whoever and used 0 for the employees on the application that sent their application in before me and they haven't heard back.

From what I have read regarding applications, the SBA was checking credit on some applications, so an applicant could check their credit for inquires. If your credit is locked to prevent fraud and the SBA tries to check your credit your application will not process.

Currently, the SBA has run out of EDIL funds. Today the additional EDIL might pass and be off to President Trump to sign which will allow additional funding for the EDIL. The first EDIL funds were depleted in about two weeks. I think the second round will be gone within a few days. You can tell the funds are gone when they stop taking applications.

The CARES act unemployment funds are available now in most states. Many people should sign up for the $600 a week they are offering. This is the Federal part of unemployment that has no hours reported and can be used by anyone who can attest they were affected by the c-19 shutdown. If you do sign up and collect this $600 a week remember that it is taxable income that increases agi.

He is paying them, and it's in Colorado, south of Denver. So sad. The office lady is still answering the phones while at home with her elementary-aged son. The installers have no work right now. And the store manager is going into the store to check mail every day. Business is dead.

I applied 2.5 weeks ago and have heard nothing. Even a $1000 would help, although the $10,000 would have made up for what I'm losing with a conference cancellation.

I heard today that those that applied before Mar 30 with the old form were denied and now must reapply using the new streamlined form.

What happened was my long form SBA loan application from March 29 was recieved and an email was sent telling me to use the shorter application. I copied it to the thread about the EDIL and other programs. We didn't loose are place in line is my point.

We will soon know if the line starts with the last group before funding was gone or if a new application needs to go in as the additional funds have been approved and are expected to be ready soon. The SBA website has the info. Many people are just turning in a new application.

The first day was March 29 and they ran out of funds on April 14 is what I read.
