My husband and I bought in to Diamond a few years ago specifically because we wanted to keep coming back to Cabo. We fo around 3-4 times per year and always stay at Cabo Azule . We love it there so much however , soon as we became owners , we could barely ever get availability ( even trying to book 9-12 months out ) and found tons of rooms on other travel websites. Now when we stay we get put in rooms that stare at a wall instead of the beach etc ( we actually don’t mind as much since we aren’t in the room in the day time ) but that’s not the point . They threw out the red carpet , then we buy in and it’s like we might as well be stragglers . The resort itself has the best employees minus the sales reps . They are all like used car salesmen . Anyway- just very annoyed to spend the amount of money we had , and can’t even get rooms anymore . Such bs.
Any help would be amazing !

Sorry, I can't offer anything but hope that Diamond's acquisition by Hilton will temper some of Diamond's flim-flam Las Vegasy corporate culture.

The availability for Club Points owners could be quite different from the travel sites because each has their own pool of units. I've found the best way to search for location that's hard to get into is to use the Time Finder option. Then you can scroll through the months to find available dates that suit you.

Yes, they are exactly like used car salespeople, clothing store salespeople, etc. Never believe salespeople.

As stated above, the units are divided into 2 different pools, one for owners and one for renters. The 100 rental companies pay a bargain fee to acquire their units up front then sell for whatever they want - it changes daily. The only time being an owner is cheaper is booking peak season a year in advance - if this isn't you timeshare ownership is a bad idea.

The other thing i loved about Diamond was their quarterly sales, up to 75% off on select locations. Around 2018 i spent a month in Big Island over Christmas with my 1 week points having MF of $1200
