This state is the absolute worst....... the program is halted to enroll or re-enroll......I’m assuming this already in will be fine. TSA precheck not affected

This is pretty ridiculous and I hope you all complain to high heaven about it, even if you aren't up for renewal quite yet. Terrible precedent to set.

We live in New York. My credit card reimbursed me for enrolling in Global Entry, and we paid the $150 for my husband. Tried to do the interview at JFK after arriving back from the DR. Employees at JFK said they weren't doing them at that time.

Question. Our one year time frame is winding down, and we won't get the interview in time. Will we lose our money, and have to start all over again? I can't seem to get an answer to this.

Bottom line is the requirements for Global Entry are not met in NY. If you don’t meet the requirements like the other 49 states your out. Sounds fair to me.

From my understanding of the different articles, it has to do with new NY law baring DMV from sharing criminal record information with DHS and CBP. If they can't verify a criminal record, or lack of one, how can one qualify for the program. Can these agencies get this information through other means? If other states have to provide it in order to qualify, why doesn't NY?

I may be remembering wrong. It would be standard priced, so if you paid $100, that's what we must've paid.

It is a $100 pp. They did not yet charge my renewal until they process it. But I do not know when they charge on initial application.

Are you saying the renewals for Global Entry are running behind? I just renewed mine about a month ago. I was prepared to wait but got approval, with no interview, within a couple of weeks.

My renewal shows that they extended my current application by 1 year. I reapplied in Nov for a April renewal. I now have until April 2021 before it expires.

They have yet to do anything with mine yet. Who knows. I am hoping for an auto renewal too.

Mine was renewed for the full five years, and I got my new card in the mail. It was due to expire in October of this year.

Governor Cuomo went to the White House today and was told that the only way restrictions on New Yorkers' access to and ability to apply or renew access to Trusted Traveler programs (TSA PRE, Global Entry, etc) will be lifted is for New York State to drop lawsuits against President Trump.
