Does anyone know if the "sport" pool is functional for swimming laps, or is it too short in length that you would be constantly making turns?

If that's the pool with the volleyball net going across the pool it's probably long enough but the number of people in the pool would make it difficult to swim laps, it's usually crowded. But, if you got there very early in the morning to beat the crowds several of the pools could be used for swimming laps.

Just got back from desert willows. There is sort of adult pool and a family pool (slide, volleyball nets, lots of kids) near the lobby. The adult pool is good for swimming laps - perhaps 25 yards. Morning and late afternoon are best for laps when there are less people. Very nice pool area overall. Also awesome view from the pool bar.
