We will be going to MPD for two weeks starting October 22nd. We've stayed in building G in the past and have been very happy with the view, but would like to try a different building. I was thinking of building U with its view of the valley course (Palms course will be closed for overseeding). Has anyone stayed in this building? I know a lot of folks like buildings R and S, but building U may have a nice view and is closer to the pool and grill. Another consideration is if it's been refurbished recently. Does anyone have advice?????

We stayed in Bldg U once, and thought it had a nice view. You can see the mountains to the south. Here's a photo from the patio...

Another nice feature of that building, besides the proximity of the pool and BBQ, is the proximity of the shuttle stop.

Desert springs villas I view

We are also staying in villas I starting on October 27. I noticed on your map of the resort there were buildings identified as 1,2 or 3. Any significance to those numbers? Also your notes regarding ac and road noise were very helpful. Thanks!

Wow, you must've explored our website thoroughly to find that map! It's a little old, and those numbers represent the buildings we would usually request. I think now I would move #2 from "X" to "U".

It's definitely time for me to update that section of our website with new photos and a newer map. :)

If you are going to request a specific building, I'd make sure to ask if it was one that has been refurbished. I'd take that over the view.

Anyone know the building letters that face the hotel across the gold course? We've stayed there before and like that view but I dont remember the letters and we're going back soon.

N. Faces the hotel, also right next to a small pool. We were given L on our July visit: view of just the golf course (no hotel), and closer to the main clubhouse pool.

I called today and was told all units except the handicap accessible units have beenp refurbished.

Maybe they were finishing up the last buildings when we were there 3 months ago.

The unit we were in (first floor unit, closest to clubhouse, bdlg L) was handicap and was refurbished. Maybe correct wording should have been, "All regular units have been refurbished; some handicap units have, some have not."
