Desert Springs I and II master bath

Has either Desert Springs I or II remodeled the master bath area to take out the soaking tub and put in a larger shower? I really hate the tubs out in the open right off the sleeping area.

I'm not aware of any recent renovations to the units at DSV. So the master bedroom in DSVII should still have the big jetted tub with just the corner shower in the main bathroom. I don't see them changing this setup in a future renovation.

We've never stayed in a 1BR or 2BR in DSVI, so I can't speak to that. We were supposed to stay in a 2BR at DSVI in September but retraded out of it as we got a 2BR at DSV II on an AC. I'm trying to figure out a way to get into a full 2BR at DSVI just so I can get video and photos.

Why don't you think so? Shadow Ridge had a similar setup and they eliminated the tub. It is so much better. No shower in main bathroom, and huge shower where tub was.

I suppose it is possible then and thinking about the Grande Vista renovations, they did the same. They had a small corner walk in shower and tore out the big tub and replaced it with a large walk in.

At DSV1 and 2 they took out the jetted tubs perhaps 8 years ago because they were a housekeeping nightmare. But IIRC they both replaced the jetted tubs with soaker tubs. And both (in the master BR) have a nice sized walk-in shower. The lock-off (smaller) side has a tub and shower curtain. Since you hate the tubs off the sleeping area, I'd suggest to just not use them and proceed to the nice-sized walk-in shower.

Personally, neither my wife nor I have ever used the soaker tubs. But we have no complaints on the size of the walk-in (master) shower.

In my own house our walk in shower is 3 x 6' with two controls and two shower heads. That is big enough for two people. I think that at DSV1 and 2 (master) the showers are similar sized but with just one control/shower head.

Thanks for the shower info. On the floor plan they looked kind of small. The only thing we use the soaker tub is for our pop up hamper and for used towels.
