Have a friend we are going to give our SBP unit to. We currently have an unused 2022 deposit of it in Interval. Will we be able to transfer that week to them or is it one of those use it or lose it scenarios? Thanks

II deposits don't transfer, but you can exchange a week and get a guest certificate for them.

As long as this is an individual II account (meaning you bought the SBP resale), then even after you sell, the deposits will remain in your II account. If you don't use them before they expire, they are gone (unless you pay to extend them). As previously indicated, you can just book the exchanges for them and add a guest certificate so they can use them.

Bought the unit many years ago resale but it is now lumped in with our Marriott account in Interval. I’ve been exchanging it for them for quite a few years. Knowing I can keep it in my account will lessen any up front fees I might have had to collect from them and still have it available for them to use. Thanks.
