It seems better than the near $12,000 they wanted to charge this person.

The main question is, how did you receive this offer? Did you reach out to Legacy Vacation Resorts, or did someone cold call you.

If you are interested in giving back your unit, call the resort member services directly. Use the number you normally call. DO NOT use the number on the letter you received.

curious how you got such an offer? did it come from the resort? its extremely rare for a resort to actually reach out to owners regarding surrender?

the deed back offer was actually in their printed newsletter. Orlando/ Disney area must be in demand for them to want inventory to sell?

I agree but if the owner is an owner of the Oaks, which is across the street and one of the first TS in Orlando, it may make sense, I got calls 4 and 5 a week for about 8 months and my lawyer says it it because Legacy purchased the Oaks at Resort World but is still in their 2024 billing and accounting stating that the Oaks is a Condominium Association which gives owners of those original units an option of getting out of their timeshare without too much problem.
