The departure offer is for 1295 for 6 days/ 5 nights in a 2 bedroom at Nanea plus 15,000 Bonvoy points or $75 resort credit. We considered the package from the presentation but were glad we waited . We are hoping to put it together with another week. It also included other resorts for 299 up.

thank you for sharing. What other resorts they mentioned? Any Kaua'i?

There is only the offer of studios at all the other resorts. Princeville was $899, Sheraton Kaui 799.

We bought a departure offer last summer which sounds similar. 18 months to us:

15k Bonvoy or $75 resort credit

Studios and 1bdrms:
3 nights Orlando Myrtle beach (we wouldn't use this) $199 +100 peak (total $299)
3 nights Scottsdale, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Avon, CO (Riverfront or Sheraton) , Steamboat: $200 - $500 total
5 nights Maui, Kauai /Maui $799 Studios; Nanea 2 bdrm $1299

Hope this happens when I am there in September ... I would jump on a WRF 3 night deal for sure.

Was this after an owners update like the Encore packages or is this a different offer?

It is different than the package you get if you don't buy after a presentation. This package is offered when you check out of the property after a stay. They offered me something last September too. I can't remember the details.

Do these departure packages require sitting through a sales pitch?

Presentation required. Offered upon departure, we got a message on our phone near the end of our stay. We did not attend a presentation during our visit.

I've never received nor heard of one of these departure concierges.

It seems fairly new. We received a note under our door our last night inviting us to recieve a gift and an offer to return , by visiting ,the morning of our departure ,with the "departure concierge" We did attend a presentation earlier in the week and almost bought the offer there but didnt want to pay extra for Bonvoy points. The sampler offer after the presentation was $2100 for a 2 bedroom at Nanea and 100,000 Bonvoy Points. The points guy values that as $700 so not a bad deal if you need the points.

At the end of our owner's update at WDW, we were asked to evaluate the sales representative. As we were about to leave we were offered an Encore offer (similar to the now discontinued Explorer package) which included Loyalty (hotel) points, 4 nights in a premium villa at this resort or WMH and a one year freeze in price of the offer made during the sales presentation. The cost was approximately 1.3K which could be applied to the purchase price.
We were told that we could think it over and if we were interested, we could take accept the offer any time before leaving either of the two properties. We were not interested in the either offer but were favorably impressed with both individuals.
