Rescind now. Way too much money to spend on a timeshare, even at a new property which I am sure is beautiful. Read the tug board, ask questions and look for resale. Probably won't find one at this new resort, but plenty at many resorts on the resale market for very little money. Take a look on Ebay and see how inexpensive it is to get a timeshare.

From what I've seen, you can buy 5000 on resale there for $7,000 or less. If you don't mind spending $18,000 on 30,000 bonus points, go for it! The 30,000 points, although nice, have a value of less than $6,000.

Best to recind. Check ebay, you could get that for about $5000. You'll get all the same benefits buying resale.

RESCIND.
You'll have to use up or convert those BP into HHonors points in short order
(a typically poor use of points) and have a TS for which you paid too much.

Follow the instructions in your contract to the letter, even if you know a better way.

HGVC is a fine system, fairly consumer friendly, but paying full frieght is a rip-off.
