Somewhat related to the thread: http://tugbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=156373

Marriott stuck a 1 page ad in the most recent Interval World magazine:

"The Ritz-Carlton Destination Club has opened it's doors to owners with Premier and PemierPLUS status!"

They specifically list what's been opened up as:
1- Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences San Francisco
2- Ritz-Carlton Club St. Thomas
3- Ritz-Carlton Club, Vail
4- The Abaco Club on Winding Bay
5- Ritz-Carlton Club, Aspen Highlands-Colorado

I was looking for points charts for San Francisco but couldn't find any. St. Thomas and Vail were there, listed as 2012-2013 points requirements. Not sure what that means with respect to usage, can you have usage in 2011?

I will probably call the VOA to get more information on using RC in San Francisco in 2011.

Interesting announcements, I really like that Marriott added these 5 resorts.

Anyone else got advice or comments on Ritz-Carlton usage with DC points?

Ritz

Just switch out my week 10 parkcity mountainside ski week for Ritz Vail ski week.. I am happy with the trade although I traded a ski-in-ski out for one that is not.

Here is a thread discussing the Ritz clubs from back in July.

http://tugbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152094

I'm considering the following:

1) Using existing points and staying at the SFO RC

2) Appears some DC points on Greg's site was going for $0.30/pt... Maybe RC usage would be a good use for cheap, in distress DC points that can be rented from someone?

3) If DC rental points are high enough ($0.60), wonder if it's possible to go the other direction, actually make a reservation for a 3rd party at a RC? I briefly read the RC DC info and didn't see that you couldn't do this.

What site did you use for this? I will occupy 2012 mountainside but consider trading for other ski location in 2013. Let me know.
