An update from the latest Barony Beach Club newsletter:

>>Day Pass Update
Beginning January 31, 2019, local Owners who live within a 50-mile radius of the resort will be issued an annual parking decal. The decal will replace the monthly Owner parking pass. Each local Owner will receive two decals per family per year. For more information, please contact our Safety &Security office at 843-342-1780.
As a reminder, Owners are invited to use the amenities and parking facilities at the resort on a space-available basis from 7:00am to 7:00pm daily, even if not staying at the resort. To obtain a Day Pass and parking pass, the deeded Owner must be present and show identification. The party is limited to six people per visit. To inquire about the possibility of blackout dates and for a complete list of Day Pass rules please call 843-342-1608.<<

Day Pass usage by Owners comes up every so often as a topic on TUG and is available at several - but not all - MVC resorts, where it's written into the governing docs. Check your latest newsletter or call your resort directly. It will be appreciated if you post in this thread what you know about your resort's availability/policy. :)

I know that all of the HHI resorts offer it; we've taken advantage of it at our two resorts, Barony and SurfWatch. What's new in this update is the annual parking decal if you live within 50 miles. Next time we're on the island we'll check to see if SurfWatch is doing the same.

I contacted what I call my home resort, Desert Springs Villas, and, for DSV1 and DSV2, there are no day passes. You have to be staying there to use the property.

Shadow Ridge has day use in the governing documents with lots of caveats. Here is the language:
