Dash away deals

Are we able to take advantage of the dash away deals or equivalent as a resale purchaser?

We live in Phoenix and often get the itch for a quick weekend getaway to San Diego or the LA area. I have family that own developer points and they get some amazing deals within 30 days of check in. I'm hoping I can take advantage of this too. I was just given points for Wyndham (175,00) and Shell(6,750)

I would suggest you do a lot more research before you buy anything. Retail or resale.

You can use dash away deals in Shell as a resale owner. Just remember that there isn't much inventory on short notice like that in the popular areas.

Dash away deals are within 14 days of check in and not 30 days.

Wyndham does not have the equivalent of "dash away" deals that resale owners can partake in. Did your family transfer the Wyndham points to you as family? In this case, the points may have retained the developer status, but you still do not have the requisite points for VIP status to get discounted reservations.

Every so often they will have inventory specials (called Vacation Deals now) about 60-90 days out that will have discounts that are often as good as, or better than, the VIP discounts, but I haven't noticed these popping up as much they once did. Anybody can take part in these, when offered.

The other "deal" that would come with Wyndham, regardless of how you purchase or obtain the contract, is RCI Last Calls. An RCI membership is included with most Wyndham memberships, and some of the Last Calls are great bargains.
