Considering a resale purchase…
What does it mean when a contract is Club Wyndham Access with RARP at a specific resort?

I’ve read up on RARP…it seems there are two types: (1) VIP RARP and (2) Contractual RARP. How do you identify the difference when purchasing?

I know VIP does not transfer with a resale purchase. So…I’m assuming VIP RARP won’t transfer either. Correct?

Also…if it states CWA…what’s the point of RARP? I thought CWA gives you the 10-13 month booking window. What would the added RARP designation do for you?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Not all resorts have inventory held in the CWA trust - which resort is listed as having RARP on the CWA contract?

Sounds like the seller is confused about CWA. Reciprocal Advance Reservation Priority (RARP) is a benefit that pre-dates the CWA program, and is available at only a few resorts. The RARP booking window is 10-11 months in advance.

CWA was designed with 13 months Reciprocal Reservation Priority at all the resorts in CWA, so having a CWA contract with RARP would make sense only if the RARP was at a resort that is not part of CWA.

Park City is part of Club Wyndham Access, so every CWA owner can book Park City at 13 months.

The only thing I can think of is if the contractual RARP behaves like the VIP RARP benefit. With the VIP RARP benefit - it is really expanding the SRP from 10 months to 11 months - meaning you can use "points as points" at 11 months when using VIP RARP. If the RARP attached to the CWA contract provides the same benefit - then it would mean that you could use points that otherwise would not be ARP eligible (points that are only eligible within the SRP) 11 months out. If so, then there may be at least some value - but this is just speculation on my part to be clear.
