Cute and fun TY Beanie Babies I apparently overpay on Amazon and at Cracker Barrel for the grandkids

These are the cutest little animals, and all 7 of my grandkids still love them, even my 17-year-old grandaughter, and I do too. I purposefully drove to our local Cracker Barrel to buy a little blue dragon for (I think) $8.99 for her birthday because she had the other two dragons and wanted the third one. I already bought her birthday present, and she said she didn't want anything but this Beanie.

I could have purchased three of these dragons for $13.99 directly from TY. How did I not know this? Amazon charges a lot for these babies.

We have Beanies from when the kids were little, and I gave a whole bunch to my friend who is a speech-language pathologist. They're great for eliciting language from kids.

I used to have the Chinese zodiac dragon on my computer at work. He is an amazing toy! So many little details! I still marvel that he only cost about $6.

We collected Beanies back in the day, probably 30 years ago. I wonder does old Beanies Babpies have any Monterey value in 2024?

Not much value to these, but I see them on ebay for high prices. Don't know if they actually sell.

I used to buy lots of Beanies on ebay in the 1990's, and the band boosters had raffles for giveaways at Bingo. We could get $50-$100 in raffle money for a single Princess or Glory Bear. I still have my little otter Beanie.

I had a lot of TY Beanies left after the kids graduated from high school, and when our grandson's school was doing a Christmas shop, where kids buy little things for their siblings, parents and grandparents, for super cheap prices, I donated a lot of about 60 of them to the school. All of them had the original tags. I kept them clean in a cedar chest. Our daughter said they made decent money on them, about $5.00 each. I was happy to help the school.

DD had a huge collection in the 90s. She eventually donated them to a local organization that sold them for $5-10 each. She still has the kitty that started it all, though.

We have the old TY Beanie Babies and the old McDonald Beanie Babies collections.

My grandkids love the Beanie Babies. I get them the holiday ones so they can decorate their bedrooms! I always get them off the beanie baby website!
