Nothing was happening 11-24 Oct. Ugly. I understand all development has stopped around Koloa and Poipu (but they leave the fences up flapping in the breeze)
I am in Kauai right now and have been by the resort a couple of times. The big black fabric is still there and flapping away. I'm assuming you are referring to the project which stretches for maybe a few blocks to the west also? I can see some large construction equipment back there and even a concrete pumper truck so they must be pumping some concrete to a foundation or something. Anyways, yes . . . some activity back there but does not seem like a lot but I was just driving by . . .
When we were there a few weeks ago, it looked the main thing being worked on was a golf course. From LBR you can see over the fence and make out some fairways.
That is the best news I have heard for the area. If the land immediately behind Lawai turns out to be a golf course, what a treat for the Lawai guests... much better than houses, condos, etc! Anyone know for sure?

I just received the most recent newsletter and there is a full page summary of current and future development of the kikui'ula development on page six which you can access at www.lawaibeach.org (I believe this is the adddress or you can google it.
