I was wondering what the current cancellation policy is for an II exchange using an accommodation certificate? Wondering about outright cancellation or changing the week for another week before the scheduled check-in date?

Right now I can get a unit at Marriott Mountainside with an accommodation certificate for about $300 end of October. If Covid cases rise would cancel and if a week becomes available earlier in October would like to change the dates. If it makes any difference I am part of the Marriott Destinations program.

I am pretty sure that the usual rules apply but they are making exceptions for some covid issues (Hawaii quarantine for example). I would think that if the resort is open but you don't want to go, you will probably be out of luck. I called earlier this week and asked which covid policy applied to AC's - exchange or getaway. The answer was neither. So I'm not sure that anyone, including their reps, knows what will happen or what the policy is. Worst case is that you lose ~$300.
