If one reads the press with their tendency to over report or exagerate any incident no matter how minor the actual effect on people, one would think the world will end tomorrow. :hysterical:

Compared to the wild old days of daily train wrecks and other disasters in the early 1900's, life these days is pretty boring for most people.;)

Don't mean to minimize the specific individual incidents but they really are pretty rare. But with the need to fill airtime and web sites resulting in hysterical reporting, I mostly tune it all out.

Cheers

More bad news. Brother and sister inlaw just got back from their cruise to Cozumel today.

About 20 or so including my brother in law went out on a diving excusrion. Several divers per dive master. Group my brother in law was with including an American Tourist who never came back up. Circled for 3 hours searching but never found her.

Multiple boats and helicopters launched but no luck. He said the husband was a complete wreck and the hardest thing he ever did was leave the search.

Very sad.

Here's info on Trip Advisor.

We are thinking a Summer cruise or a trip to Thailand for our family.

This morning DH read bad news on the web. Some explosive occurred in South Thailand . So, we shift gear to Cruise ship.

Reading more trouble cruise news like the one posted here, I just wonder is it a trend or just a bad incident only occurs once a while. Now we are not sure where we are heading this Summer
