The biggest reason was to get the discounts on cruises.

The salesperson said they were a member, and showed us the prices you could get on cruises. One example was a cruise for 4 on a 7 night out of Miami for $1500. That's a $6,000 cruise. Is this legit?

You'd have to provide cruise line, ship, time of year, cabin type to make that determination. All that I listed factor into pricing. Also are third and 4th kids or adults?

This was a 7 day, suite, out of Miami on July 21 for 4 adults. Do you have access to the portal to see the actual price? If so that would be great! He was showing us on his account, but I am skeptical after finding this site.

I don't have access to that portal but I check my cruising sites and I don't see a ship leaving anywhere out of Miami on 21 July. Not even out of the US.

That being said, I'd call BS for a suite for 4 adults for $1,500.

Yeah, the whole too good to be true homage seems to come into effect here.

I have a problem with purchasing a perpetual timeshare contract with the only intention of getting a discount on an occasional cruise. Did you tell the salesman that you really wanted to do a cruise? He probably crafted his pitch around what you gave him as a favorite thing to do. You have 10 days in Florida to rescind a timeshare contact. You might want to rethink your thought process. :ponder:

@Pinkfreud, this is pure BS. There are no cruises departing Florida in July. There are no cruise ship suites that I know of that sleep 4 adults, and certainly not for $1500 all in for 7 nights. There might be some 'experimental' cruises to nowhere ' no ports, out and back to test cleaning procedures and 'prove' they can be safe to resume cruising.

Those, if even they exist on some level, are not worth signing up for 10's of thou$and$ of ongoing timeshare expense. If you REALLY did enroll in this, you have just a few days to cancel the purchase. Follow the instructions in your contract, sign the letter, and mail it USPS Certified, ASAP.

ETA, you do not need to give a reason to rescind. You are just exercising your right.

It is not legit. Follow the directions to rescind today.

And using points for a cruise. Or most anything out of a timeshare scenario will usually be a worse trade than cash
