In the past I have gotten credit for nights stayed and welcome points for II exchanges to Marriott resorts. Recently I had to call 2 resorts to have them submit this to MR because I forgot to make sure my no. was attached to reservation. At first they questioned the eligibility of the exchange but then said they would send the info to MR. I still do not see they stays in my account. Before I make another call to MR on Monday I'd appreciate input from others experience.

Yes, unless you have multiple reservations for the same time, in which case you get points for purchases but not credit for nights.

This is why it is VERY important to make sure that you have your MR number on the reservation when you checkin. Getting credit after the fact is difficult. It is sort of a gray area. Owner stays are eligible for elite night credit, but the T&C are unclear if exchange stays are eligible. It seems that if you have your MR number attached to the reservation, you get the credit even with exchanges but if you don't when you try a missing stay request they sometimes balk.

Make sure you are submitting a missing stay request and sending your folio. Calling is generally not successful.

HI,
Exchange stays do count towards elite status.
I have had to call when they were not credited and sometimes I was put on hold while they talk to the resort and get it posted. I takes 24 hours after member services updates your account to see it and I think that the weekends don't count.

As said before if you have more than one res at a time you only get elite credit once. We both have marriott reward numbers and so put a second reservation on the other persons card.
The thing that is more trouble is when you have overlapping reservations. I have had it where the few nights that should count are not posted and I am still fixing one of those at the moment.

I talked to front desk managers at both of these resorts before the arrival dates of the reservation. They both said they could see my reservation and we chatted about possible room location but I forgot they weren't seeing my MR information. When the stays didn't post I called both managers again to request they submit the stays to MR. They said they would. Still nothing. The reservations did overlap by a day or two.

The MR agent has to post the reservation number to your MR account. Exchanges through II still have a Marriott reservation number and you still get nights credit.

MVCI agents (and I'm guessing everyone including front desk at MVCI) do not (no longer) have access to MR.
