crazy low price on AA SFO to Cancun $236

aa.com has fares at $236 ($129 fare + $107 in taxes)

Wow! That is a great fare, but I am curious about Cancun weather in early January. Would it be in the 80's?

Several years ago we went to the Atlantis in the Bahamas and it was FREEZING COLD and gloomy the week after Christmas. Thank goodness for the fabulous heated pools & no shortage of diversions/things to do there.

According to weather.com, the average high temp in Cancun in January is 81ºF; average low is 67ºF.

Bahamas are not in the Caribbean

Rene - I, being a geographically challenged Californian, always thought the Bahamas were in the Caribbean. But as you discovered, they are in the Atlantic Ocean, just east of Miami, and probably (I'm guessing, here) a thousand miles north of Cancun. Big difference! Fortunately, I went in August and the weather was perfect, though humid. I hate to think what Cancun is like in August...
