We are in our late 60's and fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (1 healthy; the other has diabetes & had heart attack in 2018). Planning to be in Kissimmee area first week of May. Asking how bad the current surge is in that area. Would you advise that we not visit? Thanks.

IMHO, you can go & enjoy.
Fully vaccinated peep may still get it, but the symptoms are slim to none.
Plus you get to lord it over the the unwashed masses waiting to sign up.

From everything I have read, you should be fine as long as you are fully immunized (it’s been at least 2 weeks since 2nd vaccine shot). You should also still wear a mask when among others who may not be vaccinated but this is more to protect them. So, basically, when you’re out in public, mask up. If you’re among friends and family who have been vaccinated, no need for a mask.

This is a link to the current CDC guidelines for domestic travel:

Edited to add:
And information on how rare it is to get covid once you have been vaccinated.
