WARNING: Long wind up:
I had to replace DW's so I ordered one online. I told them that I needed a new SIM because the SIM in her old phone was the wrong form factor. I didn't feel like ordering a "guillotine" to cut it down. When the phone arrived it came without, you guessed it, a SIM!
I made an appointment for a no contact service call with an AT&T store to have them put in a SIM. Well the "genius" who serviced us, did put in a SIM, but attached it to MY phone # To fix his mistake, he wanted the SIM out of my phone.
As I started to take it out of its case I noticed the case was spit:
Since I had to keep my phone active, as I use it for business, I had to buy a phone for me too (Yeah, I know that's not "genius' fault)
Ok - long wind up finished.
So now I start googling and find out that I can order a kit to replace the battery. Since the phone is already open, which seems to be the toughest part of the task, I ordered one.
Here is what the battery looked like:
I was able to replace the battery and reassemble the phone
Now on to an old Wii where the CD player stopped working. The toolkit has assorted drivers and spudgers to open cases without damage.
I guess the 'genius' did me a favor
